Story so far
After working in Griffith for two years I returned home and decided to become a teacher instead, focusing on the two main areas of a journalistic background – English and film and TV. I also did a small amount of freelance writing before full-time study.
When I graduated I taught at Loganlea State High School, Beenleigh State High School, Grace Lutheran College in Redcliffe and then I took a break and worked as a supply and contract teacher.
In 2013 I started my current position as part-time teacher at Music Industry College. I also work part-time as a childcare worker at Rainworth State School.
The MIC job ties in nicely with my developing career as a musician under the name Jimi Beavis, recording and releasing music, playing some festivals and performing mainly around Brisbane, with occasional tours.
