Queensland Parliament in legal mess over oaths

Concerns have been raised in State parliament over the authority of some Queensland magistrates. Those sworn in since April 2013 have been taking the incorrect oath while at least one hasn’t taken an oath at all. Chris Thompson reports.

Federal Government announces pension revamp

Many Australian pensioners will be finding themselves better off after January 2017. The Federal Government says changes to the aged pension in next week’s budget will take from the rich and give to the poor. Laura Dixon reports.
