Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has conceded climate change is contributing to the worst drought in memory. He’s been touring drought stricken areas around Warwick and is promising more help for farmers.

Parts of Queensland have been grappling with drought for up to eight years.

Josh Frydenberg, Treasurer: “Therefore the links between what we are seeing here today and climate change are there.”

The Treasurer and his Drought Minister toured the Southern Downs city of Warwick which is already in danger of running out of water.

And, the Government announced increased support for farmers.
