The Broncos have been hit with another massive loss, with one of their stars failing a drugs test. Coming just days before the NRL Grand Final, the timing could not have been worse for the code.

Hooker James Segeyaro has been suspended after testing positive to a drug called Ligandrol.

Used to enhance muscle growth and recovery, Ligandrol is the same banned substance which sidelined swimmer, Shayna Jack earlier in the year.

On the eve of the League Grand Final, the timing of the suspension couldn’t be worse.

Johnathan Thurston, League Legend: “It’s not a great look for the game and it’s a shame it’s come out this week of the grand final.”

Segeyaro is devastated by the news.

But he maintains his innocence and he will fight the charge.

The two Grand Final teams are making their last minute preparations with Raiders’ players enjoying a day off.

Jarrod Crocker, Raiders Co-Captain: “Pretty cruisy mate, just um, putting my feet up. Big day yesterday, so just relaxing today.”

Both the Raiders and the Roosters have their last training session tomorrow.

And JT says, people should focus on the big game.

Johnathan Thurston, League Legend: “The story lines are huge on both sides and that’s what we should be talking about.”

Come Sunday, Raiders’ fans hope to end a 25 year Premiership drought.

And deny the Roosters their second title in as many years.
