For the first time since last year’s sensational coach swap, Wayne Bennett and Anthony Seibold will go head-to-head.

Despite Seibold insisting there is no grudge against Bennett, there’s still a level of tension.

Anthony Seibold, Broncos Coach: “It was a strange old time at that time, one thing I’ve learnt about rugby league is there is a lot of games that are played behind the scenes.”

Kodi Nikorima has chosen not to play Thursday, in what would have been his last game before a move to the Warriors, which drew praise from Bennett.

Wayne Bennett, Rabbitohs Coach: “I thought he showed a lot of courage to do that. It’s easier to go with the flow sometimes.”

GWS have secured a first-of-its-kind contract with midfielder Josh Kelly.

The landmark deal allows Kelly to stay up to 10 seasons with the club if he chooses to.

Meantinme, Richmond star Jack Riewoldt has failed to have his fine for a chicken wing tackle, overturned at the AFL tribunal.

Jack Riewoldt, Richmond Tigers: “I feel like I’m a very fair player, I’ve sat on the law of the game committee for two years and feel like I play the game in the right ethos. So understandably, I’m really disappointed with how it’s gone.”

The thirty year old will now have to pay a $1500 fine.
