Borce Ristevski killed his wife, dumped her body, then lied to police and family.
Today Melbourne Supreme Court Justice Christopher Beale, sentenced the 55-year-old to a maximum of nine years with a non-parole period of six.
Justice Beale told the court: “Your plea of guilty does not demonstrate remorse.
“No sentence I can impose can undo the suffering you have caused, and continue to cause, to those who knew and loved Karen.”
Karen Ristevski’s body was found in Victorian Bushland, eight months after she allegedly went missing in 2016.
Mr Ristevski denied involvement in his wife’s death for three years.
Even acting as a pallbearer at her funeral.
The initial murder charge was downgraded to manslaughter.
Police say there was not enough evidence to prove murderous intent.
