A man is recovering in hospital after he was shot in the hip at Logan this morning. In a strange twist, the 29-year-old was unaware of his injuries stopping into a convenience store for a slushie before he collapsed.

It’s a scene that has to be seen to be believed.

Just after 5:30 this morning, a 29-year-old man casually walks into a 7-Eleven at Holmview.

Purchasing items before collapsing in pain.

Witnesses rushing to help the man, calling emergency services.

Police say the man was shot with what’s believed to be a pellet.

The man is now in stable condition recovering from his injuries.

So far, he’s been unable to tell police where exactly the shooting took place.

Locals say they have concerns about safety in their neighbourhood.

Vox 1: “I’ve got my grand children over here and I wouldn’t even leave them out the front. You know, it’s too unsafe now. Isn’t it?”

Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crimestoppers.
