Transfers are coming thick and fast in the AFL trade world with Collingwood at the centre of the action. And the world’s richest race on turf, the Everest, is shaping up to be a rich show of competition.

Brisbane Lions coach Chris Fagan has shut down talks that Dayne Beams has requested a move to Collingwood.
Beams has already played in the black and white strip, reaching a premiership final in 2010, and AFL Trade Radio says he’ll request a return after four years.
But Fagan says the pair have not discussed the transfer.
And going out of Collingwood, Alex Fasolo has moved to Carlton as a free agent.
The 26-year-old played just one senior game for Collingwood in the most recent season.
In horse racing, David Hayes has made it clear that his horse Vega Magic is looking to build on its performance at the Everest this Saturday.
David Hayes, ‘Vega Magic’ Trainer: “I think as good, if not better. I think last year we made a tactical error. It’s the only race in Sydney that catches the imagination of the general public.”
The horse ran runner-up last year at Randwick behind Redzel.
