The Melbourne Crown Casino became a dazzling showreel of silk, sequins, lace, latex and even feathers, as footy stars and guests arrived for Australian football’s night of nights.

Charlotte Ennels, Guest to Jack Viney: “It’s pretty amazing, Sam, Oglio-Loro has done an incredible job and it was all Elliot Garno’s idea to go a bit more sheer and sexy this year and they nailed it.”

Raising eyebrows on social media with the most talked about dress of the evening was Logan Shine, guest of the very trendy Jason Johannisen from the Western Bulldogs.

Logan Shine, guest to Jason Johannisen: “It took me about 20 minutes, I’m just worried about how long it’s going to take me to get off later tonight after a few drinks.”

Nadia Barton not only hosted the red carpet event, she brought her baby along, wrapped in her white J’aton gown.

Inside, as the evening progressed, so did the nerves.

Polling 28 votes, Hawthorn midfielder, Tom Mitchell, entered the casino as a heavy favourite. It was no surprise that he left with the Brownlow Medal draped around his neck.

Tom Mitchell, 2018 Brownlow Medal Winner: “This is a tremendous honor to receive an accolade like this, I’m still in a bit of shock but this is a very humbling experience. Thanks very much.”

Mitchell’s medal marks Brownlow Medal number six for the Hawthorn Football Club.
