You might not know it, but tomorrow is World Penguin Day and celebrations have already kicked off at Seaworld.

Elke Bowman reports.

Like all good parties, there was cake – ice cake, of course – and the guests of honour even wore tuxedoes.

World Penguin Day is a celebration that also raises awareness of the serious threat of ocean rubbish.

Sea World is hosting a series of special events today and tomorrow, these webcam pictures inside their penguin enclosure show the party in full swing.

There’ll be extra educational presentations at the enclosure tomorrow as well as Discovery Quests and children’s crafts.

You can even get involved in the chat on Twitter using the hashtag #worldpenguinday or make an ice cake of your own.
