A police man-hunt is in its second day, after an attempted abduction of a young girl early Monday morning. Police are urging parents to be more vigilant about securing their homes.

It was just before 5am on Monday in Loganlea, when a man entered a family home by reaching through a dog door.
He made his way into the bedroom of the young girl, where he grabbed her and carried her downstairs.
She woke up and called for help, the man punched her in the face before fleeing the property.
CCTV from the street shows a man on a BMX bike riding away.
The girl’s father ran after the attacker, meeting a cyclist who told him he saw a man bolting from the house in the other direction.
When the father returned, the cyclist, believed to be the attacker, was nowhere to be seen.
The suspect is described as being in his early 20s, wearing long pants and a charcoal hooded jumper.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact crime stoppers.
