The heat has been turned up on trade deals.
Jake Lever’s now officially a Demon, after Adelaide and Melbourne agreed to the switch.
Josh Mahoney, Demons Football Manager: “We’re getting a 21-year-old, a guy that was in the all Australian squad, defender, very competitive, and of great character, so really happy to get the deal done.”
The 21-year-old informed the Crows of his desire to return home to Victoria, two days after their grand final defeat to Richmond.
In another big move, Greater Western Sydney traded Devon Smith to Essendon.
And Brisbane has cleared the way for former skipper Tom Rockliff to join the Power.
The Lions will receive selection 18 in next month’s AFL national draft as compensation.
The 27-year-old played 154 games for Brisbane and recently became a father to baby Jack.
