Kangaroos star Cooper Cronk has criticized Andrew Fifita’s defection to Tonga. Cronk says he’s disappointed about how the issue was handled.

Fifita dumped Australia’s World Cup squad, to play for his family heritage.
But Cronk says the way he did it was disrespectful to coach Mal Meninga.
Cooper Cronk, Kangaroos Half-Back: “I reckon it’s disappointing, all around poor and you talk about respect and carrying yourself in a respectful manner.”
Meanwhile Josh Papali and Frank Pritchard have elected to play for Samoa after being overlooked by the Kangaroos.
In the AFL, the free agency period begins today.
With Port Adelaide’s Jackson Trengove submitting paperwork to the club.
He is expected to sign with the Western Bulldogs.
Bulldog Jack Stringer is expected to request to join Essendon in the next 24 hours.
