It’s one of the biggest days in the sporting calendar and Victoria police aren’t taking any chances.
They’ll be out in force to protect footy fans at tomorrow’s grand final parade.
One thousand officers will be deployed while temporary bollards will be installed along the route’s perimeter to protect more than 100,000 fans from potential rogue car attacks.
But speculation of a possible terror threat hasn’t dampened the mood for Crows and Tigers fans, or other creatures for that matter.
Penguins from the Melbourne aquarium gave their grand final predictions, with fish cakes decorated in team colours.
The Crows took the cake.
