North Queensland fans have again turned out in huge numbers to welcome their team home following their win over the Sydney Roosters.

With the finals less than a week away, coach Paul Green is being prompted by coaches and players alike to reinstate co-captain Matt Scott for the final match at ANZ Stadium this weekend.

It’ll be the Cowboys second grand final in three years.

Michael Morgan, Cowboys halfback: “It brings back memories as well from a couple of years ago, so we know how much it can mean to this community and the North in general, so yeah, it’s great to be a part of.”

Queensland coach Kevin Walters, along with Cowboys stars Jason Taumalolo and Michael Morgan are calling for Scott to be offered a position on the field.

There’s speculation that if he was to return to the side, Scott would replace forward Corey Jensen, who debuted for the Cowboys in round seven.
