This year’s NRL grand final could be an all Queenland line-up.
That depends on the results of the Broncos – Storm final this Friday night and the Cowboys – Roosters hook-up, the following night.
Kate McCormack reports.
Storm go into the match against Brisbane, firm favourites.
It’s a chance for redemption for Storm prop, Jesse Bromwich, after last year’s grand final loss and recent cocaine scandal.
Jesse Bromwich, Storm Prop: “I haven’t got the grand final in mind but I have got repaying the club, my family, and the members and the fans back because what I did was stupid and that’d never happen again.”
The North Queensland Cowboys received a big welcome when they returned home after their emotional win over Parramatta.
But there are doubts that “young gun” Coen Hess will be fit for next weekend’s semi final against the Roosters.
The 21-year-old injured his knee in the Eels win, but told supporters he isn’t going to “play the wimp card”.
