It was all fun and games for Red Bull drivers at Surfers Paradise.

In full character mode, they donned wigs .. signed autographs and snapped photos … As they released their latest clip.

Craig Lowndes, V8 Supercar Champion: “Redbull just wanted to have a bit of fun and create something a little bit different. And you know we’ve driven trucks, boats, we’ve been all over the shop and it has been a lot of fun creating it.”

Tomorrow it’s game on when practice begins.

Jamie Whincup, V8 Supercar Champion: “To drive a beast, a 650 horsepower supercar down the streets of one of the biggest cities in the country, it’s a really cool feeling.”

The event is in its 26th year … Up to 200 thousand fans are expected.

Jason Thomas, Tourism Queensland: “This event is very important for the Gold Coast not only for the local businesses for the short term but the images that get beamed around the world it does really highlight that this is a world class destination one of the world class events.”

The circuit covers almost three kilometres … With speeds up to 265 kilometres an hour.

While the supercars are the main event, there’s plenty of other attractions to enjoy. There’s stadium super trucks, a defence force aerial display and music from birds of Tokyo and peking duck.

Racing starts at 8:50 tomorrow morning.
