A 39-year-old Kelvin Grove man has appeared in court, after an incident involving a knife this morning.

The man was released on bail and will appear again next month.

Police swooped on the Musk Avenue apartment block at six thirty after receiving reports of a man wielding a knife.

A 35-year-old victim suffered minor cuts to his face and leg and was sent to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for observation.

The 39-year-old man has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm.

And footage of a driver who rammed his car into a police bike has been released.

The officer had pulled the man over after he was driving at high speeds along the Ipswich Motorway at Collingwood Park.

The driver began reversing after the police officer had pulled him over.

The man then accelerated towards the officer, forcing him to veer to the side of the road.

The car fled the scene.

Police urge anyone with any information to call Crime Stoppers.
