There was a bus emergency in Sydney on Monday morning. Several passengers on a peak-hour bus were trapped, after an excavator toppled onto it. Two of the five people injured, were taken to hospital.

Just after 7am the bus clipped an excavator outside a Parramatta construction site.
The earthmover then fell on top of the vehicle, trapping several passengers.
Three commuters were treated at the scene and two men were taken to hospital with minor injuries, one to their knee and the other to his head.
There were also traffic delays throughout the morning while police and engineers investigated the cause of the accident, to determine who was at fault.
Transport for New South Wales said it was glad to hear there were no serious injuries.
