Jarryd Roughead left Melbourne this morning with the rest of the Hawks, just days after an operation for melanoma.

He made the trip to Brisbane with his good mate Jordan Lewis, who’ll play his 250th AFL game on Saturday against the Lions.

Alastair Clarkson, Hawthorn Coach: “We think it’s good for “Rough” too, the normality for him is being around all of his mates.”

Roughead’s career is on hold indefinitely as he battles cancer.

In Sydney, the Swans host undefeated North Melbourne Kangaroos tonight at the SCG.

The Swans will be out for revenge after losing to them in last year’s semi-final.

And Carlton have pulled off ‘medical miracles’, naming Matthew Kreuzer and Levi Casboult for Sunday’s clash with Geelong.

Kreuzer had undergone knee surgery and it was feared Casboult had broken his leg.
