They might be training for one of the matches of the season but it was all business at Red Hill this morning.
The last two times Brisbane has played the Cowboys the result has gone down to golden point.
Casey McQuire, Broncos Forward: “The last couple games have been decided by one point so I’m sure this week will be another great match up. A total eighty minute effort.”
The Broncos have been bolstered by the return of Adam Blair from suspension as well as Alex Glenn and Andrew McCullough from injuries.
Corey Parker, Broncos Captain: “The two teams play a similar style of footy, they like to play a free-flowing brand of football.”
The Cowboys are facing a top-four team for the second time in two weeks and are coming off the back of a one-point loss to Melbourne.
With a clash between two Queensland teams on Friday night the selectors are going to be paying attention.
With possible Origin match ups on the wing and in the centres this game is a great opportunity for some Origin hopefuls to make their mark.
Last night New South Wales Origin Forward, Greg Bird, helped the Titans to a big win over the Roosters.
Playing on the Gold Coast, the home side broke a five game losing streak to run out winners 26-points to six.
The Titans finishing with three tries in nine minutes.
