It’s being called the world’s most luxurious truck.

A custom-built prime mover fit for a king, or rather a Sultan!

Meet His Majesty Ibrahim Ismail, Sultan of Johor and his expensive new toy.

The modified Mack Super-Liner took 11 months to finish, and features two televisions, a back verandah, and even a built in barebque.

All built right here in Brisbane.

Dean Bestwick, Mack Trucks Australia: “We’re very proud and honoured to be able to produce a product like this in South-East Queensland for delivery into Malaysia.”

But why choose Australia for the build?

His Majesty Ibrahim Ismail, Sultan of Johor: “It’s the best, I could have gotten it from America or Germany, but I don’t have that working relationship with them. Here, we have very good working relationship, and very flexible when we negotiate with Mack.”

He’ll use it to tow his 50 foot powerboat.

Dean Bestwick, Mack Trucks Australia: “We had probably six meetings with His Majesty, and we went through everything he needed to do.”

Six layers of clear-coat cover eight layers of custom pearl paint, and the Sultan seemed suitably impressed.

His Majesty Ibrahim Ismail, Sultan of Johor: “It’s the same colour as my boat.”

Evidently he likes things to match.

His Majesty Ibrahim Ismail, Sultan of Johor: “In the interior, they followed the colour of my private jet.”

But just how much the Sultan paid for this is a well kept secret.

His Majesty’s Mack will be shipped overseas at the end of this month, but the Sultan says he’ll be back for more.
