The three day event highlights the best of the region.

Organisers say the weekend is jam packed with exciting family entertainment including demolition derby, monster trucks and even camel racing.

Kids will love the life-like dinosaur show.

Visitors to the Brisbane Powerhouse this weekend can literally step into a virtual world.

As part of the ‘IRL Digital Festival’, guests are invited to strap on a pair of virtual reality goggles and enjoy a fully immersive story-telling experience.

There are shows and games to suit all ages, from an Apollo Eleven virtual tour and moon walk to a 360 degree horror show.

The annual Noosa International Food & Wine Festival returns this weekend.

A massive four hectare expansion of the Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens has just been completed and residents are invited to a free community day on Sunday to celebrate the opening.

There’ll be market stalls, live music, cooking demonstrations and a bunch of activities for kids including live appearances by popular ABC children’s character, DirtGirl.
