The two men, one armed with a gun, walked into the Everton Park Hotel and threatened staff just after 2am this morning.

Inspector Steve Flori, Queensland Police: “We can’t verify whether the pistol was in fact a real pistol but the degree of violence and the propensity to do this job would indicate that they are potentially dangerous to the wider community.”

The men stole cash before fleeing the scene in a grey Holden Commodore.

Inspector Steve Flori, Queensland Police: “We’re seeking public assistance to identify these people.”

This wasn’t the only violent incident of the night. Police are also investigating an attempted armed robbery that happened just hours earlier.

At the Narangba Tavern a female employee was threatened with a knife. The bandit fled empty handed.

On the Gold Coast three men forced their way into a chemist at Helensvale.

The men smashed a glass panel on the main door to gain entry.

Once inside they took what they could.

Ryan Clark, Qld Police: “It would appear a quantity of stock has been removed but we are yet to be able to establish exactly what that stock was.”

Anyone with information on any of the incidents should contact Crime Stoppers.
