It’s that time of year again.

Queensland’s annual nine day celebration of bike riding is up and rolling.

There are plenty of activities to get involved in.

Saturday is dedicated to bike skills with indoor training sessions and mountain bike basics.

And rain, hail or shine on Sunday, cyclists will race up Mount Coot-tha for the Great Brisbane Bike Ride.

Brisbane’s Buddha Birth Day Festival is one of the largest in the world.

It returns to South Bank Parklands this weekend.

You can join in the Dragon Boat Regatta, or watch some celebrity cooking.

Then stay around for the Chinese lion dancing and fireworks, which start at seven-thirty Sunday night.

And if you could do with a light-hearted end to the week, the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow has rolled into Brisbane and promises to have you in stitches.
