The former Parramatta Eels star has been training at the 49ers’ Levi’s Stadium for three weeks.

Hayne is finding the new game very refreshing… but also challenging.

He’s been training and studying vigorously in order to make the cut.

Jarryd Hayne, NFL Rookie: “go through a day where it’s smooth and I really understand it, then the next day there’s a whole 60 to 70 more plays, and I’m just like I haven’t heard of half these plays before, what’s going on?”

He’s also having some trouble learning the new playbook terminology.

In San Francisco Hayne is a small fish in a big pond.

In Australia he was a champion right from the start of his league career named the 2006 Parramatta Eels season rookie of the year.

And whenever Haynes pulled on that Blues jersey in State of Origin He managed to be a star player for New South Wales.

But his 49er’s coach is adamant Hayne will make the team.

In the meantime, he continues to train hard and hopes to further broaden his career in sports.
