But made the agonising decision to withdraw.

Allowing Michael Jennings to slot into the centre.

In AFL, the hits keep on coming for the win-less Gold Coast Suns.

Key mid-fielder David Swallow is now out, for up to 10 weeks, with a knee strain.

Better news down in North Melbourne.

Todd Goldstein revealed that Daniel Wells should be right to take on Hawthorn this weekend.

Todd Goldstein, North Melbourne: “I thought he was a good chance this week, obviously they’re taking a bit of a cautionary approach, but yeah, I think players like him and Jamie, I think they’re very close, it’s just about making sure they tick all the boxes.”

And Carlton star, Chris Judd, has admitted he feared for his safety, when he was attacked by an Essendon fan in Melbourne.
