The Lion’s captain says he is fed up with excuses and letting the club down.

The skipper made an unconvincing return, after two weeks out with broken ribs and a punctured lung.

He blamed the team’s lacklustre season on player inexperience and injuries.

Queensland’s other team, the Gold Coast Suns are also yet to win a match this year.

Carlton’s star player, Chris Judd, is fit to play again after missing the ANZAC Day clash with St Kilda due to hamstring tightness.

Meanwhile the team’s coach Mick Malthouse, will earn an accolade this weekend, coaching his 715th AFL game.

Bryce Gibbs, Carlton Midfielder: “This is going to be an extra special week, you know, for Mick, and for us and hopefully we can get a win for him.”

The record is currently held by AFL legend Jock McHale.
