Tennis fans enjoyed a range of entertainment at today’s official launch of the Brisbane International.

Trophies were on display and giveaways included tennis balls, racquets and tickets to the tournament itself.

But all people really wanted to know: the players that are coming.

Announcer: “The first name we’re gonna announce is defending men’s champion Lleyton Hewitt.”

Hewitt beat Roger Federer in three sets this year to take out the Roy Emerson trophy.

And he seems to be a crowd favourite.

VOX 1: “Most likely Lleyton Hewitt.”

Also coming is rising star Grigor Dimitrov, local favourite Samantha Stosur and French Open champion Maria Sharapova.

Cameron Pearson, Tournament Director: “I know the team and the players are really looking forward to coming out again and starting their 2015 campaign.”

Eighteen-time grand slam champion Roger Federer had already been announced.

Federer’s last appearance in Brisbane attracted more than 100,000 people. He says it’s an important event in his calendar, and he’s ready to serve up more entertainment this summer.
