The dead man’s housemate reported finding the body at around 4:00am.

The suburban home was declared a crime scene and forensic police spent the morning gathering evidence.

It’s believed the victim died from massive head injuries. He is identified as Mark Emanuel Spencer.

He’s known to police but they’ve ruled out any links to motorcycle groups.

The housemate was interviewed but police say he’s not a suspect.

Det David Hutchinson, Qld Police: “The person who lives in the house is at the police station. He’s providing full version to detectives. He’s not a suspect. As you can imagine, he’s pretty traumatised by the whole situation.”

In the Brisbane Magistrates Court today the sentencing of a man over a shooting drama at Robina Town Centre in 2012 was adjourned.

Mark James Graham is convicted of attempted murder and unlawful wounding.

Justice Wilson delayed sentencing after defence Barrister Dave Edwardson told the court his client had been diagnosed with bi-polar.

The matter will be back before the court in November.
