The showdown against the Hawks is three days away.
The Swans say their line-up is more than able to take out the title.
Adding Kurt Tippet and Buddy Franklin to the forward line has yielded more than 150 goals.
Kurt Tippett, Sydney Forward: “I think we’re very lucky to see guys like Buddy Franklin, the way he chases and defends, as well as the way he attacks. Adam Goodes is not losing any of his speed, and Sam Reid has been that versatile type of player. I think we’ve got the right mix there.”
It’s the first Grand Final to take place with the national terror alert level set at “high.”
Spectators have been asked to remain patient.
Asst. Comm. Shane Patton, Vic Police: “It might take a bit more time for people to get in. People need to be mindful of that. But that’s going to be occurring.”
Police and security will be stationed at every gate.
Every bag and vehicle entering the stadium will be checked.
Bomb sniffer dogs and plain-clothes officers will patrol onsite during the game.
