Four days out from the AFL Grand final and footy fever is running hot.

Saturday’s face-off will be tough between the red and whites and the brown and gold.

Georgia Terry reports.

The dust from the Brownlow medal hasn’t settled yet but AFL junkies have already turned to Saturday’s grand final.

This year’s showdown sees competition favourites, the Swans, take on reigning champions, Hawthorn.

But for Buddy Franklin, the clash with his old club is not going to be all fun and games.

Buddy Franklin, Full Forward: “It’s a grand final, you expect anything, there is going to be 100,000 people there cheering or booing, it is what it is.”

While the Swans may be favourite to take the trophy on Saturday, the Hawks aren’t counting themselves out just yet.

Sam Mitchell, Hawks Midfielder: “They deserve to be the favourites ’cause they’ve been the best team all year, they’ve lost two games in 20 or something, so they’ve played very good footy, but we think our best can beat them.”

For die hard fans, Saturday can’t come soon enough.
