AFL finals fever is hotting up.

And the big question today will Hawthorn star Cyril Rioli prove himself fit for the weekend clash at the MCG.

Gaby Boland reports.

Hawks fans will be cheering if the electric player makes a comeback in Saturday’s preliminary final against Port Adelaide.

He was kept under wraps at this morning’s training.

Club Manager Chris Fagan also had his eagle-eye out for spies.

Rioli has been sidelined with a hamstring injury since round fifteen.

Teammate Jack Gunston says Rioli will be ready, if he’s named.

Jack Gunston, Hawthorn forward: “He’s ready to go, he’s trained pretty well lately and yeah hopefully he can get a good session today.”

The club’s medical staff will make the final decision on whether he’ll play.

And Essendon will soon know if it’s won a battle with anti-doping authorities.

ASADA accused 34 Bombers of taking a banned peptide, as part of their 2012 supplement regime.

The Federal Court’s ruling on whether that investigation was legal will be handed down on Friday afternoon.
