Forty-three year-old Melbourne man Nicholas White, was flown home by a medevac team.

Mr White suffered severe head injuries when the motorbike he was riding was hit by a car in Bali a week ago.

He had to be put into an induced coma for the flight home on life support and surrounded by his medical team.

Kyle Young, Friend: “We’re just, you know, extremely relieved to have Nicho back in Melbourne where he’s going to be in the best possible care.”

The medevac flight cost his family more than $100,000 paid for, in part, by donations from fellow Aussies.

Steve Rainey, Friend: “Extraordinary, we are absolutely over the moon, overwhelmed by the general public who have been so instrumental in making this happen so I know the family is so grateful and thankful.”

The family is still facing costs of $150,000 for Mr White’s treatment in Denpasar hospital.
