Carlton were the victors last night at Eithad Stadium, beating St Kilda by 32 points.

It means the Blues are now 13th on the ladder.

Mick Malthouse, Carlton Coach: “That consistency. We just haven’t really been able to mount that practically all year.”

Marc Murphy was a key player in the victory over the Saints, but he’ll be sweating it out on the match review panel findings for this bump on St Kilda captain Nick Riewoldt.

While Murphy is on tenter hooks, some good news for the Blues.

Star midfielder Bryce Gibbs is set to re-sign a long-term contract with the club.

In a blockbuster match set for Thursday the Magpies head to Adelaide to take on the Crows.

Seven Collingwood players are still trying to prove their fitness to take on Adelaide.
