Roar fever is building in Brisbane with four days to go before the A League face off this Sunday.
Fresh on the heels of last Sunday’s controversial semi-final win over the Melbourne Victory, Roar captain Matt Smith say’s the boys are excited to be playing in front of their home audience.
Matt Smith, Roar Captain: “We’re very pleased to be involved in another grand final and we’ll be soaking up every single minute of it.”
If they win, they make history as the first club to win three A-League titles.
The Wanderers are determined to make up for their bitter defeat in last year’s grand final, they haven’t beaten the Roar this season.
Good news for Roar winger Dimitri Petratos, he’s 99% clear to play.
Come Sunday this stadium will be packed with screaming Roar fans.
Tickets went on sale to the general public this morning and already 44,000 seats have been filled.
And if you can’t get tickets to the big game, the Shafston Hotel in East Brisbane is expecting a large turnout of supporters to watch live on the big screen.
Elise Porteous, Shafston Hotel: “We’ve got a really, a really die hard group of Roar fans, they’re fanatical on Twitter and stuff like that so yeah it should be a really great day.”
The game kicks off at 4pm.
