Tonight one NRL player will head home with the Dally M Medal.
Queensland’s own Jonathan Thurston is in the running for the sport’s most prestigious award.

Greg Inglis, Jonathan Thurston and Cooper Cronk are amongst those tipped to win the Dally M medal.
The Sea Eagles’ Daly Cherry-Evans, sits fourth on that list.
The halfback says his mind wasn’t on the awards cermony, set to take place in Sydney tonight.
The Eagles continued training today in preparation for the Grand Final this weekend.
Daly Cherry-Evans, Sea Eagles Halfback: “I didn’t want to let this opportunity go by, I want to play the best I can and help get this team a win.”
The Sea Eagles will be versing the Roosters in the Grand Final clash this Sunday.
However, Roosters Assistant Coach Paul Green is already celebrating, after winning the 2014 coaching role with the Cowboys this morning.
The Sea Eagles’ Assistant Coach was also up for the position.
