Hawthorn’s tipped to win tomorrow night’s preliminary final against Geelong.

But the Cats will be in top form, with star forward, Tom Hawkins likely to play.

As players arrived for a light training session this morning, Tom Hawkins was confident after recovering from a back injury.

Tom Hawkins, Geelong Forward: “How’s your back feeling ahead of the big game? Yeah good. Are you confident about the game? Yeah very confident.”

Hawthorn is also confident, with Cyril Riolo overcoming his ankle injury and attending training this week.

Alastair Clarkson, Hawthorn Coach: “Yeah listen, he trained really well on Tuesday and has pulled up fine for that so he’ll be okay to play.”

Clarkson has full confidence in his side, though he faces some tough selection decisions.

Alastair Clarkson, Hawthorn Coach: “Only 22 can play, we’ve got 30 that are available that could all come in and play a role for us and get the job done.”

The battle will commence at the MCG tomorrow night at 7.50pm.
