From nine tonight, the Riverside Expressway will be closed inbound between the Margaret St off-ramp and the Ann St on-ramp for a trial hydraulic lift.

The road is expected to reopen by 9am tomorrow.

But there’ll be a full weekend shutdown on June 28, so rusted pot bearings in part of the expressway can be replaced.

And train travellers also could experience big delays this weekend.

Track work on all southside lines means travel into the city could take an hour longer.

Buses will replace trains from the first service tomorrow, commuters should check the Translink site for full details.
