A 32-year-old man charged with a string of serious drug and weapons offences was refused bail in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Police seized drugs, weapons and over $4 million in cash after arresting the man on Sunday night.

The Brisbane Magsitrate’s court heard the defendant is on parole for trafficking offence and suffers serious health problems.

Arian Shabanzadeh is facing charges including possession of dangerous drugs, unlawful possession of weapons and drug trafficking.

Yesterday police recovered several kilograms of cocaine and methylamphetamine, 240 MDMA pills, 45 handguns.

They also found over $4 million in cash, as well as other drugs and weapons, from a West End home and storage shed allegedly linked to the accused.

The crown says it has a strong case, referring to CCTV footage allegedly showing Shabanzadeh accessing the storage shed.

The 32-year-old sat silently in court. Magistrate Alan Taylor refused a bail application on the grounds that the accused represented a flight risk.

Arian Sharbanzadeh was remanded in custody to appear back in court for a committal mention on November 12.
