A double header at Suncorp Stadium saw the Broncos take on the Sea Eagles and later the Titans matched up against the Bulldogs.

But the Broncos couldn’t hold onto their lead after Manly winger David Williams snuck down the sideline and over the try-line to claim a 22-24 victory with 62 seconds left on the clock.

Next up the Titans impressed claiming another much needed victory over the Bulldogs 25 to14.

It’s their third win of the season.

And the Cowboys also nabbed a win, thrashing the troubled Newcastle Knights 32 to 12.

Cowboys Co-Captain Johnathan Thurston had a perfect kicking game converting all 5 tries and the penalty goal.

In AFL this weekend.. the competition’s newest entry the Greater Western Sydney Giants claimed an historic first ever victory defeating the Gold Coast Suns 94 to 67.

The win puts GWS one rung above the Suns who are yet to claim a single victory this season.

And the news wasn’t any better for The Brisbane Lions who were no match for Collingwood. The visitors pummeled the Brisbane side 116 to 58.

It was left to the Reds to save face and they did it the hard way coming from behind. They scored four tries in ten minutes to defeat competition leaders Chiefs 42 to 27. A great Mother’s Day present.
