A 16-year-old boy accused of attempting to murder a fellow student with a knife, has been remanded without bail.

He faced a closed court session this morning.

A 14 year old schoolgirl is recovering with family today after being stabbed multiple times in the head, neck, back and arms at her school early Wednesday.

A 16 year old boy appeared in Caboolture Magistrates this morning he’s been remanded in custody until July.

The incident has reignited the debate over weapons in schools.

Premier Campbell Newman says catholic education authorities must follow the lead of public schools and ban students bringing knives of any kind to school.

And police investigating the murder of Allison Baden-Clay are looking into whether a second person may have been involved in the Brookfield mother’s death.

The body of the 43 year old was found in water under the Kholo Creek bridge just over a week ago.

She’ll be honoured by family and friends at a funeral service tomorrow.
