In the NRL last night, Souths put paid to the Sharks winning streak.
While in AFL, the sun wasn’t shining when Gold Coast took on Fremantle.

Controversy erupted off the field in final stage of Saturday night’s game at Metricon Stadium.
Two timekeepers have been stood down after an extra 39 seconds was mistakedley played late in the match.
The extra time didn’t affect the end result though the Dockers keeping their lead to win by seven points.
Meanwhile the Lions suffered another loss. The Bombers smashing them 129 to 62.
That’s pushed further down the ladder to 14th.
To NRL and the Cowboys had a win on home soil defeating the Dragons 30 to 6.
The Titans weren’t so lucky losing out to the Tigers by one point at Skilled Park 14-15.
Broncos took it on the chin too. They were done by the Warriors at Auckland in front of a home town crowd 30 to 20.
But the big league result this weekend was at ANZ Stadium the Rabbitohs defeating the Sharks 34 to 28 to end Cronulla’s six game winning streak.
And another loss for Queensland with the Reds, were beaten by the Crusaders in Christchurch.
Canterbury’s Tom Taylor kicked two penalties in the last minutes to earn his team a tight 15-11 win.
