Five more undefeated games is all that separates A-league champions Brisbane Roar from the history books.

No Australian team in any sporting code has gone 35 games undefeated since the legendary Eastern Suburbs rugby league team did it 74 years ago.

Tonight they host Adelaide United who are coming off a 2-1 loss to Sydney FC. The last time Brisbane faced the Reds here at Suncorp Stadium, they won 4-0 despite being reduced to 10 men.

During training yesterday, Brisbane’s Coach said they weren’t going to treat Adelaide as push-overs.

Ange Postecogelou, Brisbane Roar Coach: “We’re expecting a tough one tomorrow night. Like I said I think Adelaide, when it’s all done and dusted at the end of the year will be challenging, so it will be a tough one.”

The game kicks off at 7PM local time.

To horse racing and the Racing Appeals and Disciplinary Board has dismissed jockey Craig Williams’ appeal of a 10 meeting suspension.

Williams was found guilty of Reckless riding last Wednesday when he checked another horse at Bendigo.

He says he will continue to fight the charge and chase his dream of becoming the first jockey to win the Caulfield Cup, Cox Plate and Melbourne Cup in the same spring.

Williams remains hopeful to ride one of the Melbourne Cup’s favourites Dunaden in Tuesday’s race.
