Five people have been arrested after police raided illegal call-out prostitution organisations across Brisbane.

Police raided businesses and homes in East Brisbane, Fortitude Valley and Calamvale last Thursday and Friday, following a 10-month investigation by taskforce Operation Ice Crossbow.

Police charged the five people with 16 prostitution and drug-related offences, including a 23-year-old female Taiwanese national who was charged with carrying on the business of illegal prostitution.

She is due to appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on June 2.

During the operation, police said they also seized more than $20,000 cash and a number of mobile phones and computers.
