The Brisbane Roar have intensified their focus ahead of this Saturday’s game against Sydney following the sky-blues’ first win of the season.

Despite a triple header last week, the Roar powered through the home games but are looking forward to three more including two away matches.

One against Wellington and then Adelaide, and both teams are near their peak.

Ange Postecoglou, Roar Head Coach: “You know it will be a challenge for sure, and I guess from our point of view it’s just making sure we can back up our performances.”

While the Roar are confident, they’re mindful playing Sydney on their home turf will be difficult.

Ange Postecoglou, Roar Head Coach: “We can’t afford to look too far ahead, from our point of view the most important game is Sydney on Saturday.”

Although Sydney have failed to win more than one game this season, the Roar aren’t taking any chances ensuring players are well rested following a full last week.

Keeper, Michael Theoklitos says the team is capable of getting a win tomorrow.

Michael Theoklitos, Roar Keeper: “I’m sure if we play the football we’re capable of, the result will take care of itself.”

Late today the Roar headed south.
