Sea World is going spooky this October in anticipation of Halloween later in the month.

And they’re being helped by some favourite Sesame Street characters.

The kids at today’s launch, gave the idea the “thumbs up”.

Vox 1: “Dressing up, definitely, as whatever, like something scary, its just another excuse to act like a little kid.”

Vox 2: “When you get to dress up.”

Vox 3: “Dressing up and eating all the candy.”

The Sesame Street Beach in Sea World will be transformed into a haunted alley every weekend this month with face painting, stilt walking, and magicians as well as the familiar “trick or treat” Halloween tradition.

Bianca Sammut, Attraction Manager: “It’s gonna be heaps of spooky fun, we have all the Sesame Street beach Characters dressed up in their favourite Halloween costumes. Elmo is a skeleton , Alakadabee is a beautiful big pumpkin.”

Kids in their Halloween costumes will be given a chance to take part in a fancy dress celebration with Count von Count on the Sesame Street Threatre Stage.

It may be the last three days of holidays for Queenslanders, but thousands of southerners are expected to flock here as their holidays have just begun.

But there’s one thing which will never spook most kids, a big red puppet.
