TRANSCRIPT

Firebirds’ Sharp shooter Romelda Aiken battled fiercely with the towering Sonya Mkoloma notching up 26 points and a few knocks.

Her efforts couldn’t overcome the Swift’s attacking combination of Catherine Cox and Susan Pratley.

The pair’s precise passing leading to some spectacular goals.

Shooting consistency did vary for the Swifts, with the Firebirds defence forcing their opponents to fire from distance.

It wasn’t until the dying minutes that the Swifts managed to take a strong hold of the match edging out a 44-40 win.

The loss leaves the Firebirds in finals doubt, but the Swifts are soaring higher than ever.
