Saturday night’s game is a crucial one, the Queensland Reds needing a win to have a shot in the finals.
Coach Ewen McKenzie has made a bold move, including three QAS Reds Academy prospects in the starting line-up.
McKenzie’s also replaced an injured Rod Davies with the versatile Ben Lucas who will shift into fullback for the first time this season.
For Sean Hardman, it’s his 148th and last game with the Reds.
He says just being part of the team is what he’ll always remember.
Sean Hardman, Queensland Reds: “The feeling of having earnt the right to put on the Red shoes was something that I always appreciated and respected.”
Meanwhile, the Broncos are hard at work to prepare for their show stopping local derby against the Titans tomorrow night.
The team are also looking forward to the future prospect of recruiting former player Ben Hannant.
Whilst there has been some good news with Ben Hannant set to return to the team, the Broncos have been dealt with a blow, Pedro Civoniceva confirming he will stay with the Penrith Panthers for the next two years.
Ivan Henjak, Broncos Coach: “I would have love to see him back here but I understand the decision he has made and I respect him for it because he is a real loyal guy.”
Officials are tipping the game will attract a 40,000 plus crowd.
