It remains unclear whether Brisbane guns Jonathan Brown and Simon Black will be fit to face the Demons in Melbourne on Saturday night.

Ruckman Mitch Clark looks set to play his fiftieth match this weekend after serving a one match suspension.

Mitch Clark, Lions Ruckman: “It was something silly on my behalf, and I cost myself, and thankfully I didn’t cost the team.”

Clark says he is sure Brisbane captain Jonathan Brown will play despite rumours he is about to undergo groin surgery.

Mitch Clark, Ruckman: “Brownie looks good to me, he’s usually covered in ice at the end of every game anyway.”

The Gold Coast Titans will have to be on their game against last round winners Manly for Monday night’s match at Brookvale oval, after losing to the Dragons.

Anthony Laffranchi says they are remaining optimistic for next week.

Anthony Laffranchi, Second Rower: “Internally we took some positives out of the game, we will work on this next week for Manly.”

Monday’s match will be a good opportunity for the Titans to cement a top four berth.

Anthony Laffranchi, Second Rower: “They’re only getting better week in week out, they’ll take a lot of confidence into next week.”

Meanwhile, Broncos coach Ivan Henjak says the team has a long way to go after scoring their first win in a month last weekend.

Ivan Henjak, Broncos Coach: “We’ve just got to hold our nerve and keep trying to build our game, get all the little things right, when we get our good/better player back we’ll be in good shape.”

The Broncos will take on the Bulldogs in Sydney tomorrow night.
